MAGENTA BUILDING CONSERVATION LTD
Stonemasonry, restoration and complete repair works to historical and ecclesiastical buildings.

About Magenta

Before and After - St Martin's Church, Salisbury, Wiltshire.Magenta Building Conservation Ltd was formed in 1995 to undertake the repair and restoration of historic buildings. The company was formed by stonemasons Jonathan Starr and Nigel Jaggard, both have worked extensively on projects for English Heritage, The National Trust and CADW.

Finial at the top of a pinnacle of St. Bartholomew's Church, Sutton Waldron, Dorset.Magenta Building Conservation Ltd's aim is to provide stone-replacement fine carving, mortar repair and all allied building trades using traditional materials. The use of lime mortars, render and hair plasters is not only historically correct but essential when repairing an old building in order to maintain its structural integrity. The use of traditional materials is central to the approach of Magenta.

Church of St Mary and St Nicholas, Wilton, Wiltshire.Magenta Building Conservation Ltd also has experience in flint, cob, gauged brickwork carpentry and oakwork, lead and copperwork, traditional roofing and grouting services. This means that we can effect part or complete contracts using specialised building practices and related skills to old and new buildings.

Highcliff Castle, Christchurch, Hampshire. All dimensional stonework, iron work, stainless steel, one-off fixings, plus some items of joinery are created in our workshops in Milton Abbas by our own staff or on site by our own staff. This 'in house' approach, in conjunction with the inclusion of specialist sub-contractors (with whom we have worked on many occasions before) ensures that the interpretation of the design and practical application of the works, including the often ever-changing, requirements encountered during a project, can be managed and overcome.
